India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash in Dubai.
The win was sweet.
But what happened after the match?
That turned bitter fast.
Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf celebrated Abhishek Sharma’s dismissal with a controversial ‘6-0’ hand gesture, a clear reference to Pakistan’s false claim of shooting down six Indian jets during the Operation Sindoor conflict.
#AsiaCup2025: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf sparked controversy during the Asia Cup match against India by making a 6-0 gesture towards Indian fans. The gesture is linked to Pakistan’s disputed claim of downing six Indian fighter jets after Operation Sindoor.

And that’s not all.
Sahibzada Farhan mocked fans by pretending to fire an AK-47 rifle after his half-century.
Farhan badly need to improve his strike rotation. He scored 58 on 45 balls vs IND with SR of just 128. 5 fours and 3 sixes, if we exclude those balls and runs he scored only 20 on 37 balls. T20 is not all about hitting. @utggondal views?#PAKvINDpic.twitter.com/AEB3RVyMc4

Fans erupted.
Politicians reacted.
And former star Irfan Pathan dropped a truth bomb:
“We won’t talk. We’ll answer with the bat.”
Let’s break it all down.
🏏 Match Summary: India Wins Again, Dominance Continues
India chased down 172 with ease.
Openers Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) smashed 105 in just 9 overs.
Tilak Verma (30*) and Hardik Pandya (7*) finished strong.
✅ India beats Pakistan in both the group stage and the Super 4 stage.
❌ Pakistan players respond not with class but with controversial gestures.
🔥 The Gestures That Crossed the Line
Indian fans were stunned:
“This isn’t rivalry. This is disrespect.”
“You lost the game and the moral high ground.”
💣 Sanjay Raut Blasts BCCI & Jay Shah
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut went nuclear on social media:
“Sahibzada Farhan showed how Pakistani terrorists massacre innocents. He held the bat like a gun and fired! This is a failure of the BCCI and the Modi government.”
He targeted Jay Shah, ICC Chair and son of Home Minister Amit Shah:
“Jay Shah allowed this humiliation. Should he get the Bharat Ratna for this?”
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj added:
“Why give Pakistan a global platform if they mock us? Shame on the Centre for allowing this.”
⚔️ Irfan Pathan’s Warning: “We Won’t Talk. We’ll Win.”
Former cricketer Irfan Pathan responded with calm fury:
“India wins. India grows. That’s our magic.”
“You keep talking on social media. We will keep winning.”
On Haris Rauf’s behaviour:
“He seemed like a good guy. In Australia, he spoke respectfully. But yesterday? Unnecessary.”
His message was clear:
“We won’t say much. But if you make a fuss… we won’t leave you alone.”
“We’ll give our answer through the bat. And we will answer.”
He added:
“Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe. I didn’t comment. Because that’s not my job.”
“But when you disrespect us on the field? That’s where we draw the line.”
The behaviour of Pak players on the field was very poor. My msg is clear. Full video on my YouTube channel. pic.twitter.com/Dm9YmTXqRG

📣 Why These Gestures Are So Dangerous
Experts warn:
“When players use cricket to push political narratives, the spirit of the game dies.”
Final Thoughts: Win With Dignity
India won the match.
They deserved to celebrate.
But Pakistan chose provocation over pride.
Yet, India’s response from Pathan to fans was powerful:
“We don’t need gestures. We have runs.
We have wickets. We have dominance.”
As one fan put it:
“You can make signs. We’ll make centuries.”
Next time?
Let the scoreboard do the talking.
