Brevis Praises Dhoni’s Humility at CSK, While Pakistan Captain Fatima Sana Calls Him Her World Cup Inspiration
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s influence in world cricket continues to inspire players across generations and nations. From the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp in the IPL to the Pakistan women’s team preparing for the upcoming 2025 World Cup, Dhoni’s leadership and humility remain unmatched.
Brevis recalls special moments with Dhoni at CSK
Young Indian cricketer Brevis, who joined CSK mid-season in IPL 2025 for ₹2.2 crore as a replacement for Gurjabneet Singh, shared heartwarming memories of his time with the legendary captain.
Speaking about his journey, Brevis said:
“It was a wonderful journey. One thing I can say about Dhoni is his humility and the way he is as a person. His room door is always open, closed only when he is sleeping. I have been in his room many times. No matter how busy he is, he always takes time to talk about cricket, hobbies, and life. That’s very special.”
Even though CSK finished last in the points table, Brevis impressed with his fearless batting. The 22-year-old scored 225 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 180, making him one of the few positives in an otherwise tough season. Reports suggest CSK will undergo a major revamp before next year, but Brevis is expected to continue with the five-time champions.

Fatima Sana takes inspiration from Dhoni for World Cup 2025
Meanwhile, across the border, Fatima Sana, the 23-year-old captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team, has openly praised Dhoni as her role model. With the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup set to be played in India and Sri Lanka, she is aiming to lead Pakistan to their first-ever semi-final finish.
In an interview with PTI, Fatima said:
“When you are a captain in a big series like the World Cup, it is normal to feel nervous. But I take Dhoni as my inspiration. The calmness he displays on the field, the way he supports his teammates, and the smart decisions he makes as captain are qualities I want to incorporate into my own game. I even watch his old interviews to learn.”
Pakistan eyeing historic breakthrough
Fatima Sana also spoke with determination about breaking barriers in Pakistani women’s cricket:
“This time we will definitely break the unlucky journey. My goal is to take the team to the semi-finals. Girls are now playing cricket in schools, matches are being telecast live, and the ICC has increased the prize money. All this will inspire the next generation in Pakistan.”
Dhoni’s unmatched legacy
Dhoni’s name continues to bridge generations and borders. From inspiring young IPL players like Brevis in India to motivating women cricketers like Fatima Sana in Pakistan, his humility and leadership remain benchmarks for success.
Whether in a packed IPL stadium or a World Cup dressing room, Dhoni’s influence shows no signs of fading.
